Shaunta Moseley Prince is the owner of SM School of Opportunity , the Program Coordinator and instructor of the nursing assistant and medical assistant program at SM School of Opportunity. She is a skilled registered nurse. She has nine years of nursing experience plus three years of experience as a certified nursing assistant. She has worked in multiple areas of nursing including long term care, hospice, critical care and medical surgical nursing. She is dedicated to providing quality training and education to future students. Her goal is to create a learning environment that is fun and makes the students comfortable.

Classes are 2 OR 4 weeks
Blended Course and Traditional Classroom Course available
Each class will consist of 10 students
Blended classes will meet via Zoom.
Blended students are still required to come on campus for labs and attend clinicals at clinical site.
SM School of Opportunity will provide the following
1. Classroom
2. Fully equipped skills lab
3. Hands on clinical experience at a skilled nursing home facility
4. Mock certification exam/ skills evaluation check off
Credentials Awarded
Upon completion of the class and skills check off, students will receive a certificate of completions and earn the right to test for nurse aide certification with the State of Alabama
*Although placement assistance services may be provided, the school cannot guarantee a job to any student or graduate
Classes are 13 weeks
First 9 weeks will consist of theory and lab
Last 4 weeks will consist of externship (80 hours required)
Traditional Classroom Course available
Each class will consist of 10 students
SM School of Opportunity will provide the following
1. Classroom
2. Fully equipped skills lab
3. Hands on clinical externship at a facility selected by program coordinator
4. Mock certification exam/ skills evaluation check off
Credentials Awarded
Upon completion of the class and skills check off, students will receive a certificate of completion and earn the right to test for clinical medical assistant certification exam with NHA (National Healthcareer Association)
*Although placement assistance services may be provided, the school cannot guarantee a job to any student or graduate
Classes are 6 weeks
First 4 weeks will consist of theory and lab
Last 2 weeks will consist of externship (40 hours required)
Traditional Classroom Course available
Each class will consist of 8 students

3. Hands on clinical externship at a facility selected by program coordinator
4. Mock certification exam/ skills evaluation check off
